Malaysia has a 'flexible' visa policy, almost 80% of countries on the world may travel to Malaysia without visa for a stay from the longest 3 months to 14 days.

Visa Free ( 90 days )
The following 66 countries are granted visa-free travel to Malaysia for 90 days.
- citizen of
American Samoa may travel Malaysia to for 2 months.
Visa Free ( 30 days )
The following 89 countries are granted visa-free travel to Malaysia for 30 days ( 1 month ).
- Citizens of
Taiwan may travel to Malaysia for 15 days.
- Citizens of
Libya and
Ivory Coast may travel to Malaysia for 14 days.
Transit Visa
The following 8 countries which do not enjoy the visa-free status for any period may still get a maximum 120-hours free transit-visa for air-transit only at Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Penang, Senai, by presenting a valid forward air ticket, but the airlines of the in and out flight must be the same, so the landing point.
- but for citizens from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka a valid visa besides tourist-visa like student visa, working visa to the country of destination is required.
Restriction
- Previously, for political reasons Malaysia bans entry to citizens from
Israel. Ban was lifted in May 2011.
- Serbian and Montenegrin citizens were previously not allowed to enter Malaysia, however the admission is now not refused when the passenger has obtained a visa for a maximum stay of 30 days. Special permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs is no longer required. [1][2][3][4] Citizens of Israel remain the only people banned from participating in Malaysia My Second Home program.[5][6]
