A Ukrainian passport

Visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens are administrative entry restrictions imposed on citizens of Ukraine by the authorities of other states. In 2016, Ukrainian citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 81 countries and territories, ranking the Ukrainian passport 58th in the world (tied with Ecuador and Fiji) according to the Visa Restrictions Index.[1] After positively fulfilling all criteria of EU's Visa Liberalization Plan throughout 2015 and early 2016, Ukraine is expected to achieve visa-free regime with 28 of Schengen area member states by the end of 2016.[2]

Recent

On May 31, 2011 Ukraine and Serbia have signed an agreement on a visa-free regime between the two countries.[3] On April 24, 2015 Chile and Ukraine abolished visas and will be able to stay in the territory of the two countries for a period of up to 90 days in each six-month period.[4] On March 2, 2016 Indonesia introduced free visa regime for Ukrainians arriving for less than 30 days.[5]

Limitations

Visitors with passport stamp of Israel are not allowed to enter a number of countries because of the Arab League boycott of Israel.

As a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh War between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Azerbaijan refuses entry to passport-holders of Ukraine and any other country if they are of Armenian descent. It also strictly refuses entry to foreigners in general whose passport shows evidence of entry into the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, immediately declaring them permanent personae non gratae.

Vaccination

Many African countries, including Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Zambia require all incoming passengers to have a current International Certificate of Vaccination. Some other countries require vaccination only if the passenger is coming from an infected area.[318]

Passport validity

Many countries require passport validity of no less than 6 months and one or two blank pages.[319]
